FIND YOURSELF BACK TO EACH OTHER

Every relationship has difficult seasons.

Sometimes you find yourselves having the same conversations over and over without getting anywhere. Sometimes conflict becomes more frequent, communication breaks down, intimacy changes, or you simply don't feel as connected as you once did.

Couples counseling offers a space to slow things down, understand what's happening between you, and begin finding a different way forward.

You don't have to wait until your relationship is in crisis to ask for support. Couples come to therapy for many different reasons, from navigating significant challenges to simply wanting a stronger, healthier relationship.

My Approach to Couples Therapy

Practical Tools. Deeper Connection.

Healthy relationships aren't relationships without conflict. They're relationships where couples learn how to navigate conflict while maintaining friendship, trust, intimacy, and connection.

My approach combines research-based strategies with a deeper exploration of the emotions, needs, and patterns shaping your relationship.

Gottman Method Couples Therapy

The Gottman Method is a research-based approach to couples therapy developed from decades of research into what helps relationships thrive.

It provides couples with practical strategies for strengthening friendship, improving communication, managing conflict, repairing after difficult interactions, and creating greater emotional and physical intimacy.

As a Gottman-trained therapist, I incorporate Gottman Method principles and interventions into my work with couples while tailoring therapy to the unique needs and experiences of each relationship.

The goal isn't simply to argue less. It's to help you understand one another differently and build a relationship where both partners feel valued, heard, and connected.

Emotionally Focused & Attachment-Based Approach

Sometimes the conflict couples experience on the surface is really about something deeper: the need to feel heard, valued, safe, wanted, and connected to the person they love.

I use an emotionally focused and attachment-based approach to help couples slow down their interactions, recognize the patterns that keep them feeling disconnected, and better understand the emotions and needs underneath their reactions.

Rather than simply focusing on what you're arguing about, we'll explore what those moments mean to each partner and what you may be needing from one another.

Combined with strategies from the Gottman Method, this allows us to work on both the practical skills of healthy communication and the deeper emotional connection that helps relationships feel safe, secure, and fulfilling.
